I am new to weight training. I have a serious question. I have never done chin-ups. How do I get started and what is my grip suppose to look like?:(

Use an overhand grip and pull yourself up as many times as possible.

Would it be classified as overly competitive if I refused to let a 4 year old beat me at chutes and ladders?

Chin ups, are with your palms facing outward. The closer your hands are together, the more it works you forearms. You can do pull-ups the other way though, with your palms facing you. That will work your biceps more and if you go really far out you can do lat pull-ups.
