Close Grip Bench

snoopy13 Posts: 239 Joined: 2003/11/15	2004/05/05, 08:54 AM When I line my hands up in the shinny part of the bar in the middle every time I start doing my set the bar starts slipping out of my hands and one time fell out of my hands and on my chest. Any one know why this happens or is a smith machine good to do close grip?
hecdarec Posts: 2,457 Joined: 2003/12/16	2004/05/05, 10:08 AM Are you using heavy weight? Your hands dont need to be directly in the middle of the bar. You can place them close together, they dont need to be touching. -------------- Would it be classified as overly competitive if I refused to let a 4 year old beat me at chutes and ladders?

big_j_scf Posts: 308 Joined: 2003/11/08	2004/05/10, 12:39 PM If you need it, you can use either chalk or excercise gloves, both will help your grip some. -------------- I have some good news! I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Gieco!
