When I line my hands up in the shinny part of the bar in the middle every time I start doing my set the bar starts slipping out of my hands and one time fell out of my hands and on my chest. Any one know why this happens or is a smith machine good to do close grip?

Are you using heavy weight? Your hands dont need to be directly in the middle of the bar. You can place them close together, they dont need to be touching.

My hands don't touch. There in the middle where the shinny part of the bar is and seems to be very slippery when I do my set.

put your middle finger where the shiny part and the gripped part meet. See how that works.

I don't like that......hurts my wrists to much.......I put my thumb at the spot where the rough part stops....and i only go 3/4s the way down, so its al tri's and not chest.

If you need it, you can use either chalk or excercise gloves, both will help your grip some.

Wrap your thumb around your fore finger.
