carrying food with you, its what I do........and you have to find time for your self to work out. Even if it means ditching the boyfriend for an hour so you can go work out.-------------- The following, has not be approved by the FDA or FT, it was not meant to diagnose, treat,or prevent any diease(s) Please consult a moderator or doctor before using any of the suggestions or comments. |

If you are determined to change then you are going to have to make some sacrifices. I'm in college and trying to get into shape also. Do as Andrew says pack food the night before and take it with you. This way you won't be tempted to go out to eat with others, and know that you have the kind of food that you need. You are going to have to make a decision to what is more important to you right now, changing yourself or staying the way you are. If you want to change then you will have to make a committment to your diet and exercise no matter what gets in the way. If you commit yourself to changing, then I recommend your first step should be to set up a fitness and nutritional plan on this site so you know what you need to do. Also comeback here, this site is full of people with the same goals as you, and with many knowledgeable people on the subject of fitness. It is a great tool to help you change your body and life.

First start with filling out the nutrition profile. It will ask what are your goals, activity level, and how is your metabolism. After filling this out, it will give you a nutrition plan, telling you how much total calories you need to eat, and how much of these calories need to be from protein, carbohydrate, and fat sources. For example, I am a 210 lb. guy who wants to lose fat and tone up. The plan said I need to get 3341 total calories, 215g protein, 538g carbohydrates, and 41g fat. The totals may seem high to you, but this is because you need the energy to workout, and to be able to recover your muscles during rest. The more muscle you build the more fat you will burn throughout the day. Also on the nutrition plan there is a food database. On here you just put in the foods that you eat throughout the day and it will calculate everything for you, and tell you what you need more or less of. It is an extremely valuable tool to use. So I hope this helps and good luck on the change.
