Hi,

Can anyone inform me of any foods that contain good sources of Complex Carbohydrates? i have been informed that it's good to eat foods with these upto an hour or two before training to get my energy levels up so I can max out! The thing is I am not a banana fan, and don't know any other food sources.

please help,
thanks
Darren

Fig Newtons are a good source of carbs (39 grams). They also have 2g of protein. If you are on a high calorie diet, then you can eat these prior to working out (each cookie contains 100 calories).

You can also eat the foods mentioned by ltroisi above. Oatmeal is definitely good as a pre-workout meal.
