Hello Everyone. I am currently taking M.D. Labs Pro Blend 55 protein that contains 55 grams per serving. Is there anything else out there with a higher concentration?

No I'm sorry I was kidding. 55 gr of proteins seem already quite a lot for me and actually it'll be better for you to take a second shake one hour or so later for the very best absorbtion.

one thing you must remember is that you can only physically squeeze in so many g of protein per g of a serving. the best thing to do when looking at protein powders is to find out the percentage of protein that you're actually getting out of the serving. to do this, take the total g of protein in a serving of the product and divide it by the total serving grams. in the case of PB 55, that would be 55/70= about 79% protein, which is very good for a supplement. generally, you never really want to drop below 70%.

Philia, what's the deal with taking a second protein drink an hour after the first? I never heard that one before? I thought it was better to take them more spread out, just like any other meal. How does having a batch of protein already in your system help with the absorption of another batch? Just curious.

OK...it just dawned on me what you mean Philia. I guess you were making exactly this point. 55 grams of protein at one time may be too much, but 27.5 grams taken twice over an hour is not.

Philia2 is right. I don't know why people just look at the serving size. You want more protein, take more scoops!
