i also was wondering if there is such a thing as a cheat day. such as, say one day out of the week where i can eat anything i wish. would this be acceptable or what are the consequences.

Yes there is such thing as a cheat day or a cheat meal. But keep it reasonable, dont go to mcdonalds for breakfast, the pizza hut, then Ben&Jerrys etc... Get what i mean? I allow myself a cheat dat once a week, but i try to eat healthy during the day and as i go through the night i loosen up a bit.

well, i do know that your goals really affect what your diet should be. but for the most part, most people do have to increase there protein intake, increase water consumption, and decrease sodium-filled and fatty foods. perhaps once you get your profile set, you may get some more specific advice...good luck.

Some days I'm sooo hungry and I feel terrible like snacking all day long (what I actually do when it's like that -I still keep away from all "bad" food or sugar but snack on fruits, chicken slices, hard boiled eggs etc) and other days I'm just not hungry at all (for us women it's mainly because of our jumping hormones!!! ;o). I know that my body still needs food (the calories) so I just take some protein shakes (and fish oil) and that's it......... I try to listen to my body. I don't loose weight nor do I gain any fat so I guess it's fine!

well...what I really want to do is tone up. I am 240 and almost solid. I have some fat on my stomach and love handles. It seems hard to lose it. does increased protein and less sugar help?

yea, i am in the same boat. we have to lay off of carbs, sugars, alcohol and focus on high fiber and high protien foods. remember to drink a lot of water, because the high protein could really hurt your kidneys if not enough water is taken. since you are about my weight, i think your water intake should be something like 1.75 gallons a day.
