Most people I know begin to practice their posing about 8 weeks before the meet. Of couse, there's no rule about it...and it doesn't hurt to practice earlier.

congrats on doing a show.. keep us updated!

from my personal experience.. start posing now!.. it's never too early. Pose between set.. unless you are shy.. pose at home.. get used to holding the pose because it get's tough standing on stage 30 to 60 minutes!

I would use ft first as a source for advice.. they have a great section for bodybuilding contest preparations.

Good Luck.

To pose is a lot more difficult than you might think.
You have to stand still for a certain time in a very hard contracted position, you almost cannot breath and the very worse thing, you have to SMILE and look like you're enjoying it!!! (o:

Start practicing NOW!

why not just start now? It doesn't hurt to prepare too soon. Try posing after you finish your workouts. It works farely well.

i am currently 6ft tall wt 252 bft 12% waiste-37 i have my goal to enetr at 215-225 with 4%bft and a waiste of 34
i will be certified as a personal trainer and sports nutrition spec in march. all which is helping but i still learn from others. i signed up for the workout program and ab supplement to assist me in my training. so far it has help greatly. even knowing how to write programs and do nutrition for others , it helps when someone can do it for me.the program here is challenging and yes i am sore.it is also easy to doccument and keep up with.

I agree. I am also certified but occassionaly hire a trainer/nutritionist for new input. Maybe noe I can just get new ideas here! Input from others very always helpful.
