Hi, my self (38y/o)and my wife (42y/o) are just starting to work out together at a local gym. I am wanting to gain mass and cardio and she wants to tone and cardio (light mass) we are both very comfortable with our weight. What types of suppliments , if any, would you recommend for myself. I am very active as I am a prof. firefighter. Any info or help would be grealy appreciated!

A good quality multi-vitamin and mineral complex.
Creatine is weel documented for lean mass support/gains.
Good nutrition will do a lot for your gaining muscle/losing fat. There are a lot of good posts here, look through and see what you can find.
Good luck and congratulations on having a spouse who likes to work out with you! Hurray for both of you!

A well designed nutritional program will beat any supplements. Supplements will not be needed by you as beginners right now. Save your money, make smart diet choices. You will go much farther than with any supps, despite the salse hype on them. By the way, welcome to you and your wife. My wife and I work out together too. Nice to have you with us here on FT.

Congrats and welcome. Working out with a spouse can be a lot of fun. Be gentle with criticisms and have plenty of patience. My husband and I have made great gains since working out together. Both physical and mental.
