Okay, this is a two part question. Firstly, I seem to have had a personal injury at the gym this week, it took a few days to show up. The injury is in my chest and back, only on the left side. It doesn't actually feel like a muscle tear, more of a strain on the inside. I can touch my pec and back with no pain but it hurts to sneeze and cough - can anyone explain?

Now the second part to my question. I started on Creatine about two weeks ago but now have to take a break from the gym due to this injury. I'm hoping to be back at the gym in a week and I would like to be lifting again. But if I can't lift then I'll at least start biking. I've been continuing to take Creatine while I haven't been able to get to the gym over the past 4 days, should I continue this way? Even if it takes me two weeks to fully recover?

Thanks for your time, I appreciate it.
Adrian.

That sounds bad. could you have bruised or cracked a rib? Someone else will give you a better answer...I hope, but I have read here that on off days you only need to take your creatine once a day, or half as much. Don't know about a couple of weeks though.

The pain you are describing sounds like a core injury, possibly oblique or TVA, but of course you should see a doctor to find out as it is not a good idea to mess around with core injuries. As far as the creatine, personally I would hold off for a couple of weeks & then reload (it is still unclear whether loading is necessary but creatine has become so cheap, why not?) The important thing is to see a doctor & not to agrivate the injury.
