this morning I mixed my oatmeal with protein and creatine, is this a problem at all?
it actually tasted pretty good because I have vanilla protein....

Sounds good to me! One suggestion: add the creatine and protein after the oatmeal is cooked, and right before you eat it.

Damn, thats a good idea. I usually have 3 seperate meals for all that. A protein shake, oatmeal, and then creatine. I'm gonna try that.

I'm honestly not sure how creatine reacts to heat. You might try e-mailing the manufacturer about the merits of that.

yeah, I put everything in there and then microwaved it and I did think about that the heat might do something to the creatine or protein. I'll see if I can figure that out.
thanks for the advice

I called the GNC hotline today to ask them about mixing oatmeal with protein/creatine and they said whenever protein/creatine is warmed up it loses some of their value.
So I guess it's not that great of an idea afterall.....

Add it after cooking, when the oatmeal's cooled a bit. Protein only loses its value at a certain heat level, so I think that you'll be fine as long as you don't nuke the powder itself.

Don't even cook the oatmeal. Why bother? I buy the oats and throw them in the blender with everything else. Taste's fine. Problem solved.

Same thing here, Joe. But when I posted my shake recipe in another thread, most just gagged......LOL
