Since i started working out in september i've heard how good creatine is.But i also was talking to a friend at work and he was in high school a couple of years ago and all the guys were taking creatine(very popular).I asked him if he thought i should take it and he said that it's not good for you and that ppl who take creatine for most of their lives don't live past 50!I know he is exaggerating but still...I've also heard that creatine has only been tested in humans for a short period of time in scientific circles and that we still don't know what the long term effects are for it.Anyone have any input? The only supplement i take is protein powder.
There have been a number of posts concerning the effects of creatine. Do a search and you'll find related topics discussed in the past very similar to yours. If not, I'll take the time to dig them up for you later today.
Creatine is a natural product that even our own body produces. If you eat meat and fish you are also getting small amounts of creatine. Olympic athletes have been using it since 1984. And like ageis said try to do a search on here for more info. Hope this helps
