hey, i just started using creatine again after a few years, and i was wondering if i could get some help with a few things. I am using GNC Pro-Cell

a)It says on the package to take 50g (1scoop) once a day on an empty stomach or after working out. Should i follow this, or is there a better method. It was reccomended to me already to take 25 g just before workin out then the other 25 after. My only concern with this is that i eat an hour before i work out so my stomach wouldn't be empty when i take it.

b)How long should i stay on it for before taking a break from it, and how long should that break be.

c)I know drinking plenty of water is essential, I'm going for about 3 to 4 litres a day (about a gallon), is that good enough?

d)What should i do on days i don't work out, should i still take it? I generally work out monday, wed, thurs, sat. (4 days a week)

Also, if there's anything else you think i may have overlooked or not be aware of, please let me know, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanx alot.

That must have more than creatine in it. One would never do 50 gr. of creatine a day. 25 at the most, and then when loading only. 5 gr. doses are the norm for daily maintenance.

As far as taking creatine, I would opt for immediately post workout to start, later you can add pre workout also if you like, and do not pre mix it. Mix it right before ready to consume it. Turns to a waste product rather quickly in a liquid. Your muscles will be able to soak it up post workout very well, and this would be the one time you want to have some simple sugars with it along with protein.

A gallon of water per day is fine, if you can do more, even better.

On off days, take it just once, preferrably first thing in the morning especially if it contains simple sugars. This is the only other time other than post workout you want simple sugars, as you are very insulin sensitive from the overnight fast.

Great people never want it easier, they just want to be better!

oh ya, it definately is not pure creatine, It's apparently a new type that you just mix with water, it has a multi stage delievery system so ut gets in your system fast on it's own. It has a really good flavour too.
Thankyou very much for the help.
