Simple question - Should I consider taking creatine while trying to lose weight?
My diet is in line and the other supplements I am taking are a multi vitamin, ZMA, and PWO protein shake with malto and dex.

No problem. You may hold a bit of water, but so what? It will come off easy enough. And the impact of the strength you may gain can offsett at least the mental aspect of strength naturally dropping due to less calorie intake.

Thanks for the quick response. So I will just have a little water gain. Any recommendations as to which is the best to start with?

Not sure what you mean the best to start with. If you are referring to type, I would opt for a CEE. This requires no loading, very little water retention, and pretty immediate results.

Sorry for being a little on the cloudy side. I meant what brand would you recommend and what brand would you stay away from? Should I go with creatine monohydrate?
Thanks for the info. I have been on and off this site for a few years and you have always been extremely helpful

I was trying to point you away from monohydrate above. A good CEE would be the way to go.
I particularly liked SNS brand CVM Extreme. Here is a link. http://www.dpsnutrition.net/product_information.asp?number=SN023&back=yes&dept=1047&last=1047
Any number of good creatines out there now. Just stay away from the crap like Celltech, full of sugars.
