I was wondering what the difference/benefits are of using an ez curl bar compared to a straight bar for standing curls. Thanks for any help.

Well for most the ez curl bar puts less strain on the wrist. Also while the st bar curl is a mass builder, the curl bar while still helping to build mass hits the bicep heads froma different angle and helps them grow.

Yeah you can use it for skull crushers as well as up right rows and forearm work as well. It depends on your tastes I like it for skull crushers and for curls.

Thanks. I was also wondering if anyone might know what is causing me pain on my left hand right past the base of my thumb on my palm while doing curls. I'm using weight lifting gloves, but that didn't seem to help. That's originally why I started using the straight bar, because it was too painful with the ez curl. That wasn't always the case, it is something that just started happening last month. Feels like a bruise or something?

I know the straight bar weights 45 lbs, how much does the curl bar weigh?
