i have had a cyst on top of my right wrist for about a year now. the doctor told me that i could have it drained but they usually come back. he also said i could slam a heavy book on it to pop it but again it would probably come back. it is painful when trying to lift weights and i am finding myself babying my right arm due to that. has anyone had this problem before if so how do you get rid of them or at least keep them from interferring with your workout?

no it doesnt look bad you cant even see it if my wrist isnt bent, and even when it is its just a little bump. the draining part well, so far my experience has been that when it has went away it comes back within a week. having it drained every week isnt really in the budget. and since i dont willingly let anyone put needles in me if i can help it, its not something i am jumping to do either. i was hoping someone would know of a way to kind of work around the pain of it.
thanks

I say drain it. Especially if it hurts or even bothers you to the point that you are favoring your wrist. It might come back, but it might not - take a risk.

I hope you found out what was causing your cyst in your wrist. Draining may be an answer but may not tell you what was the cause of the problem. Bacterial growth, joint irritation?
