I have a quick question. I am really unsure of how many calories I should be getting a day. I am 20 yrs. old, 5'5, and around 118 lbs. I lift weights 4-5 days a week and do cardio 6-7 days a week for anywhere from 1-2 1/2 hours (I love to exercise!) I would like to lose body fat and tone up and still stay healthy. I have stopped having my period and not sure what that means! Anyway, I keep a chart of calories in and out and on an average day I burn anywhere from 800-1200 calories in exercise! How much should I be eating then to maintain my weight and tone up?? Thanks for any help!

You are overexercising. You do way too much cardio, your body will not tone up becaus eyou are probably tearing down muscle.
Losing your period is very serious and means you are overdoing things, it can put you at risk for serious health problems. See your doctor and discuss this with them.
You are burning the amount of calories a person your size needs just to exist, on top of that you need to add calories to compensate daily activities.
You need to address the fact that you are an exercise addict or have an eating disorder, please don't take offense.
But you do need to eat a lot more and cut back on the cardio. i can't stress that enough.
Working out is about health and just like anything else an excess of it can be damaging.
Your body will continue to eat itself at the rate you are going, please slow down and get some professional advice.

Good lord, that is way to much exercise. If you want a healthy body, then you are NOT doing it any good by training so much. And I would really recommend to do what asimmer is tellingyou to do. There are some major problems going on that have got to be looked at. You are not feeding your body enough fuel, you have got to eat more. Get it checked out, and good luck.

Listen to asimmer and dahayz....you are WAY overdoing it! Health should be your major concern. This is the first and foremost reason we undertake this endeavor of exercise. There are limits to where it acutally undermines the health. Be careful....

Wow. Two and a half hours? Why do you do that much? How much do you eat a day? Keep in mind that overexercising will hurt you. Take the others' advice.
