About a year ago I bought a skirt suit on Ebay and the skirt never fit...I had to leave the zipper down about 3" but it worked because the jacket covers it. This morning I decided to wear it and it zipped up all the way for the first time and I'm getting all kinds of 'you look really skinny' compliments!

Okay, for me this is huge.

Lipid panel results, 3/24/2005
Total cholesterol: 242
LDL: 157
HDL: 70
Triglycerides: 76

Lipid panel results, 3/8/2007 (just got back from the doctor)
Total cholesterol: 197
LDL: 110
HDL: 74
Triglycerides: 65

Doesn't look very exciting, but I was shocked when I found out in 2005 that my cholesterol was high. Everyone around me was shocked because I've always been nutrition conscious and I had always worked out, if intermittently. Yes, my dad has high cholesterol, so it could be hereditary. Anyway, that first set of results told me it was time to step things up. And it worked! I am thrilled. The bad news is I have low iron for the first time in my life, so now I have to figure that one out.

A couple of things:

- The Calgary Flames made the playoffs
- The Edmonton Oilers and the Colorado Avalanche didn't
- My local hockey team won their game last night to take a two games to one lead in their series. I could end tonight
- And the Canadian government just became a little richer. I had to pay taxes this year. (It's all how you look at it, right?)

This is the next big thing to the Stanley Cup in the world of hockey. The Allan Cup is what's up for grabs. It's been going on since 1908.

It was a tense day at the rink yesterday.

I am alive even though I am so sore today I can barely move. Still not going to let that stop me from my scheduled 10- 15 second sprints with 60 second rest periods!!

Oh yeah Mutt, thanks for answering my questions in the chat!!!

I am alive, healthy, and reaching goals here at FT. Maintaining a 4.0 in my masters of human services, mother of an honors senior graduate/army soldier, mother to four more straight A students (woohoo!), and have a very supportive husband and 2 year old. Yeah...life is great!

Just bought a 1987 Nissan Maxima with 79,000 miles on it for my soon-to-be-16 son for $1.00!:) And I rode for 45 minutes straight on hilly terrain which is great considering 5 months ago I had trouble walking to the end of the street. Thanks God!

All is good, made a good move to Colorado, I have a great husband who is also my best friend. My kids a suceeding in life and i talked to my grand daughter yesterday and she had a great first day at school and my grandson told me he would watch out for her (although I think she will be watching out for him.) I found a job I can tolerate and the weight loss is on. Does it get any better than this:)
