This may seem like a dumb question, but from pictures and descriptions I honestly can't tell: What is the difference between a Romanian deadlift and a stiff-legged/straight-legged deadlift?
Ok this is pretty much what I THINK they are from things i've read around on various sites... I THINK a romanian deadlift is just a mixed grip deadlift.. so one hand is using an overhand grip while the other uses an underhand grip.. traditional deadlifts use an overhand only grip.. I think the mixed grip is a little better but i've switched to the usual overhand grip lately.. just because... reg deadlifts are where you have your feet wide apart to help put most of the weight on your lower back... I usually space my feet near the plates (although thats with my bar at home.. if it were an olympic bar that might be too far apart)... it should be something that your fairly comfortable with and you feel it pulling on your back.. while straight leg deadlifts you keep your feet very close together.. I usually have them right next to each other with a slight bend or none at all.. you will still feel it on your back but it should help part of your legs too....
Thats pretty much the way I do it.. I never really took any time to look around if any of that is right so someone correct any/all of that info thats wrong...
