Ok i was just wondering how would one go about doing decline workout routines without a decline bench? Do i just lay on a flat bench and simply lower the weight to my abs and push up from there? Or is there something else. Nothing to fancy or exotic.

One more thing, the fitness plan i just started the intermediate and it has no abdominal workout routine at all.
I still want to work the abs. How many times a week should a person work the abs? Once, twince or thrice? or more?
Thanks in advance.

for a decline chest workout you could use the dip station.. lean forward slightly to target your lower pecs

as for your abs, 3- 4 times a week should suffice. remember to hit all the major areas, including the rectus abdominus (esp. the lower part), transverse abdominus, obliques, and spinal erectors. not only will these muscles show a nice midsection, but will improve your core balance, stability, etc.

well thanks for the info for the abs. I don't have a dip station. I'm thinking maybe a pushup where i am on the side of the bench with my legs far out and do pushups off the bench with my legs below my hips. If you can imagine it with this. |\_ Where | is my arms on bench \ is my torso angles to the ground and _ is my legs on the ground.

What do you think. It could work?
