So okay, I signed up for this site yesterday. I added in all my food, set up a fitness program and viola, things should work right?.. ha, not for blondie.
Ok so, first of all -- I have it set to work out 4 days, but no matter how many restarts, recreated of plans, or refreshing will allow that to be changed.
Second problem, I am mainly on calorie-count.com, which I love but it doesn't have some of the specific intake values that this site had as far as nutrition goes. So I was entering all my food to check out where I stood as far as vitamins and minerals. Well there are a few problems with that. Freetrainers.com tells me I have to eat 2600 and something calories.. WHAT! Thats impossible.. (trust me, I tried). Does anyone know how much food that is??!! And according to www.calorie-count.com and http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm, I only need to eat 1600, and that's on the higher end. So I spent 7 hours, yes 7 hours yesterday.. -- after getting home from going out; working on trying to make an ideal meal on freetrainers.com. I.E. hitting all targets. I figured if I could eat at least 1 ideal meal then I could just mix it up.
Well I couldn't get enough protien or carbs, and the closer I got -- the more the fat went up. And I don't eat crappy food either.. -- so I managed to hit all the vitamin and mineral targets but not the protien and carbs one, not even close -- like 150 off from protien. Not to mention that in order to meet all the other targets, I had like 8 meals and that wasn't realistic to begin with. (like I said, can't intake that many calories). All I want to do is loose a few pounds and have some workout routine.
I am totally discouraged because I have spent so much time trying to meet up to ideally what I need to eat for my type of body at this point that it's at, with all of the vitamins and minerals and excersize.
Lastly, when I do eat totally healthy(in my opinion) it's not enough calories and doesn't meet the damn meter!!!!

Don't make a thesis out of diet...first off, FT unfortunately is notorouisly way off on the calorie aspect.
Bottom line is really simple, know your maintenance calories. Now, to lose weight, simply be below this amount on a consistent basis, (weekly average) with diet and or energy expenditure, and you will lose weight.
It really does not have to be so complicated it takes a college education to do. Not being condencending here, simply stating what most overdo/overanalyze. Hope this makes sense.

Sorry about writing a novel. There are just so many guidelines.
800 less than your maintaince, but my "maintaince" changes. Between 500-1300, then I have a deficit? And that deficit should be around what?
Plus, I am logging all this.
I need some sort of solid forumla/food plan/exact nutrients that fit that category etc. I used to get those meal plans from my trainer, and that really worked. We picked the foods I would eat and then she made these plans and I had everything I needed to loose weight and tone. Including protien, carbs, fats, vitamins and minerals..
She moved away, and well -- i'm counting stuff again.. I never learn.

Who says 800 less than maintenance? Your maintenance does change after you lose for instance, then your maintenance will be less, thus less of a calorie deficit you can sustain properly.
What is your current bodyweight? Do you know your bf% by any chance?
