I'm not sure how much weight I should lift. I'm a female and would like to lose and tone. Currently, I'm lifting 20 to 35 lbs. What is the rule to determine how much many lbs I should lift?

euron, unfortunatly there are no rules pertaining to weight.. Do your 1st set light for warmup. Increase weight slightly for the subsequent sets. Your last set should be a real strain to make. If at times you can only do a partial on the last set , thats about right. It really helps if you fill out your profile so we know your goals and fitness level. If you are brand new to this you need to start out easy. Your muscles will tell you whats right.
Good luck, Charlie
