I am now using Detour Bars as a protein bar, and I have to say that the taste is awesome(as long as you like a snickers bar). I was just wondering if it is a good bar to take, though. Right now I am using Mega Isolate as a protein shake(50 grams of protein in one serving). What would the recommended daily intake on these items be for me? I get about 140 grams of protein, but I think I need more. Thanks a lot

You should try to get 1 gram of protein for 1 pound of weight that you have.

I weight 184 so I aim for 184 grams of protein everyday.

I wouldn't suggest however that you only try to get that protein in shakes. Chicken, cottage cheese, top/round sirloin and milk are good forms of protein. Maybe 2 shakes a day?

I do drink milk, and eat protein foods. Tonight for dinner, I had 1 chicken breast and a little pasta. I am just wondering if that bar and shake combo are good? Thanks for the reply!

from what i heard detour bars are okay when you are not on a calories restricted diet, whihc i am so i am feening for one...but yes you have to no your ratio on protein/fat/carbs so you are balanced...
