Actually, I would like to do a detox too, but I want to do something that cleanses everything not just my digestuve system. Perhaps you can post your diet for us to see? |

I am only on day 2 of my detox diet. I am following one that is recommended by a friend. It consists of 2 glasses of water when I wake up (with some fresh lemon). For breakfast I stick to fruit (so far an apple). About 15-20 minutes later, I have about 3/4-1 cup of whole grains or brown rice mixed with some tuna or simply some spices.Lunch-Large Salad and either fish or chicken Snacks-veggies and sometimes some whole grains if I'm hungry Dinner-So far I've had fish and veggies (1/2 potatoe is also allowed). I'll have a salad after if I'm still hungry. Evening-Green Tea I have noticed that I lack energy (especially during my workouts) but this is supposed to subside after day 3. At this point the body is supposed to get more used to ridding itself of toxins. I also drink water during the day! Here is a website that I found as well in case you want to read up more on this detox regime: www.flare.com/health/se02_detox2.html and www.elsonhaas.com/articles/the_detox_diet.html |

With that diet,I am afraid your energy "lacking" will go on for more than 3 days. I don't see your workouts being very productive.-------------- The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary! |

Not many calories there either......For 21 days?!!! Okey if this diet definitely will give you a fat loss then I don't think it's made for very active people...... -------------- - Nina :o) Les Victoires éternelles sont celles du coeur. |

I guarrantee you will continue to lack the energy.Doesn't sound like a good thing while you are working out. -------------- The trouble with jogging is that, by the time you realize you are not in shape for it, it is too far to walk back! Franklin P. Jones Ivan Montreal Canada |

Sorry for a double post.By coincidence, I saw this diet today in Flare magazine at my daughter's salon. This was recomended by a personal trainer (Matt somebody,I forgot his name)for the stars in Hollywood. I am usually a positive person when it comes to things like this, but truthfully, I would start eating right, today, and you will feel better. Good Luck. -------------- The trouble with jogging is that, by the time you realize you are not in shape for it, it is too far to walk back! Franklin P. Jones Ivan Montreal Canada |

Thanks for posting ur diet.i'm no doctor but I think a good detox shouldn't have to go for 21 days if done right. Thjis diet looks like a fast weight loss - which I have done plenty of, and not much detox. If u r eating right, u are already eliminating toxins from ur diet, with this detox regime what u r doing is more of cutting calories and fats - and a share od nutrients too probably. There aare some natural pills to cleanse ur liver and there's something called Colon cleanse, it's just fiber to help ur digestive system cleanse and work more efficiently. Check out a local organic or vitamin store. And good luck |

In my opinion, a 'detox' diet would simply consist of more whole foods. If you're eating crap, that's exactly how you'll feel. Cut out any and all processed food. Nothing in cans, no fast food. If you want to flush out the junk, stop eating junk and it'll eventually work its way out of your system. The even better news is that you can keep up healthy eating for more than 21 days.-------------- Think you can or think you can't; either way you're right--Goethe |
