this is my first post here so, "Hello" to you all. My question is this.....i am a thin person and have been doing the 12-week ab program and going on to my 4th week and having great results but, i have a concern. i want to really have overall muscle definition without turning into a big hulking body builder type. i study the martial arts and always found it difficult to gain a nice muscular physique and remain small (i.e. Bruce Lee) whom had muscles on muscles but yet wasn't a huge guy. any tips on doing this ?

Unless you are extremely gifted in the genetics dept. you will not all of a sudden get huge like that. You have to lift for years and lift heavy.

Like mutt said its mostly genetics I would guess.. but your diet would play a part in it too.. lee I think even got up to 170 (something?) pounds in his life.. i'm not sure if there is any truth behind it but I don't eat to gain a massive amount of weight and I don't.. Sometimes I do watch what I eat a little and I might gain a few pounds (of muscle apparently as my bf% goes down.. SLIGHTLY).. watch what you eat.. and train hard.. and like mutt said.. it won't be overnight.. it takes quite some time.. don't forget lee was doing martial arts most of his life.. so even when he started to lift weights he was probably in pretty good shape...

Hi I am coming here for the first time. I was wanting to find out about my workout. I have been working my abs every other day for about 6wks now. However I seem to be going nowhere. My stomach has stayed the samea with some weight loss but little muscle build. I am 5'1" and figure that by now I should be seeing something. Can anyone suggest anything I can do diffrent? :) Thanks
Andrea

good lord another abb question here goes again...............you have to lose body fat to show abbs, period! Do al the cruches you want if yoru diet sux, then thats what kinda results you will get. I fyoou don't egt rid of fat, and build muscle underneath it, your stomach will just look bigger..........sorry not trying to be mean just seems every other post is the same thing over and over again.
