OK, I really seem to be stuck and not dropping wt these days--my goal is to loose 15lbs . I have incorporated lots of variety in my workouts and workout hard and smart....Exercise is not the issue. I want to try a new diet plan based on advice from BB1's posts. I just want to know if this looks like a good strategy based on a current wt of 160lbs(rrgg) and a high activity level (wts 3X/week, cardio 3X/week + other activities) always 1 day of rest.
So..here's the plan:
1800calories/day
Protein (1g=4cal): 900cal = 225g
Carbs(1g=4cal): 360cal = 90g
Fats(1g=9cal): 540cal = 60g
The fats seem very high to me, but this is what's recommended. Obviously I'll stick to fibrous carbs and EFA's for fats-fish&nuts will be good for this. I'll stick to foods from the grocery list for healthy eating. I came up with the 1800cal based on ~11cal/lb for wt loss. I'll try this for 2 weeks and see what happens, then adjust my calories up or down depending on the outcome. I already take fish oil supplements and a multivitamin daily
Does this seem reasonable? Any opinions and advice is much appreciated!

That is only 11 calories per lb. as you state. Should do nicely, but then you know what you need. If you start out too low, then you run into metabolic slowdown, etc.
So guage accordingly. The best thing is to know with your current activity level what caloric amount on average keeps you relatively the same. Then start a reduction from there.
Your choices are great, and should work well. Fibrous carbs would be the way to go...beans, veggies, etc.

Thanks....good point about knowing what I need to maintain. Since I currently seem to be maintaining, I'll have a look at my current caloric intake in general and then set my start point, but I think the 1800cal should be about right.
