Hello: I am a newbe at this ,just joined 3 days ago. starting my first week program monday. I'v got the exercises down fairly good. made copies of pictures, and descrpition of exercise. I have free weights, and will be working out at home. The thing that has me totally confused is the diet!!!. I want to gain mass without fat(20-25 lbs), and i am supposed to eat a little over 4,000 cal. a day spread out over six meals a day.Man, I don't even know how to begin to do that. What to eat, when to eat, protiens, carbs, fats?????. any info, tipsfrom your experience would be greatly appreciated!! Well I'v taken up too much of your time already. So I'll quit whinning. Many Thanks. Harold Folker: Who ever answers back, hope i can figure out how to retrive the msg. See Ya.

Hi Folker.
Under the Nutritional Plan there are links to different food groups and they have info on carbs, fat and protein, and then you'll try to make a menu and calculate it against the recomendations you've got.
Six meals, are more like, three bigger meals, and three snack meals in size. They should be about 3 hours appart or something depeniding on your number of waking hours.
Hope it helps.

Make sure you're getting protein at each time you eat, which should be every 3 hours or so. Not necessarily a full meal, but at least something. 4,000 may be high, what is your current weight?

Start with 3,500 calories. If you're gaining more than about 2 pounds per week cut back by a couple of hundred.
