I recently went to a dietition to help with my eating, I am 5'7 150 lbs and need to lose at least 20 lbs. She put me on a plan of 1protein,1 carb for breakfast, 2-3p and 2-carbs for both supper and lunch. I was just wondering if you think this sounds ok?? I am a bit skeptical becase she didn't spend more than a minute coming up with the plan! thanks so much!
Did she explain portion size? Basically she is using a modified Body For Life plan...although I am surprised she is having you eat only 3x a day...The BFL plan works well especially for beginners but you eat one portion of Protein and Carbs each for 6 meals (or look at it as 3 meals 3 snacks) with veggies (not starchy vegs) being free throughout the day.
just a work of caution, most dietitions will approach menus from a healthcare perspective. I work with one who is very athletic and will admit that she has little knowlege concerning the types of diet BB's or hard core trainers need
