I was just wondering how accurate the diet analysis is that FT gives you. Im 210 lbs, 19 yrs old, and for prograssive gains it says i need 3717 calories, 74 grams of fat, 525 carbs, and 263 protein. Do i really need this much?
Also, what if i notice im not on the right track late in the day, like if at 6 or so i see im not getting close to my calorie goal. Should i eat a lot in the evening or would that just be stored as fat?

its ok to eat in the evening but I would recommend protein
sources and fiberous carbs. If you are getting to the end of the day and have a large calorie allotment I don't think I would stuff myself just to get them in. Try adding more calories to each meal. If you are just not hungry don't force yourself to eat at night!
I know personally my metabolism is slower than average and the calories recommended at FT is about 500 calories higher
than what I need to maintain my weight. At the calories suggested here I would add a pound a week! Also I eat more protein less carbs, that works for me. Everyone is different! Play with your calories. If you start gaining fat cut back on the calories or increase your weight training. Keep us posted!

Thanks for the advice. Ill keep those things in mind. The problem is that im in college, so its hard to eat right and get the right amounts of protein/carbs/fat. im trying to stay on track, though.

Try to find some good protein bars. It's easy to carry around and they are good sources of proteins.

I wondered the same thing about the diet. I signed up on the fat/weight loss one, as I need to lose around 50 pounds, and it told me to eat around 2800 calories a day! I don't think I could eat that much if I tried! So, I went back and put in my goal weight, and it put me at eating around 1800 calories. I can do that. I usually get in between 1500-1800 calories a day, now that I've cut out the sweets and Coke. My only problem is that my protein is too low, and my fat is too high! My carbs come up too low as well, but I thought that was a good thing for weight loss anyway.
