I'm simply desparate to get my 6 packs. But the problem is that I do not get the time to give my abs a proper workout. Can I use an AB ROLLER.I want to know that whether it is safe and effective or not.

The ab roller products shown on TV ads are nothing new. There has been a wheel that was used for that purpose for as long as I can rember, thats a long time. Yes they work to some extent but they put a lot of stress on my lower back and I won't use them. If what you lack in your "six pack" is muscle mass then you aren't likly to see great improvement with these contraptions. You should try weighted ab exercises like cable crunch and machine crunches, also incline crunches with a weight held on your chest to ad the resistence you need to ad muscle. If you have muscle there then you have to uncover it with diet and cardio. Check out the 12 week ab program on this site. It really puts the work to your mid section.
Abs they ain't no easy way to do them

Don't buy into the idea that you can get this great body part or that great body part in "just a few minutes a day" like they tell you on TV ads. It's pure bull. If you are not willing or able to do the work to condition your whole body then you won't get there. There is no such thing as spot reduction.

Ab work is intense and there is no easy way to develope a 6 pak. If there were - everyone would have one. Form is critical for ab work to be effective. When you crunch (with or without an ab roller) imagine that you are trying to push your belly button into the floor - this might help you focus on the area being worked. Resistance will speed things up for you. Do not cheat when working your abs - it does not work.

Anything is better than nothing is my philosaphy. So if thats all you've got time to do, then do it. When you have more time then do an ab workout.
