This is a matter of experience. Supplements don't work for everybody.

If anything, the worst would be diarrhea or soft stools.

Make sure you drink about 1 oz. of water for every pound of body weight to avoid dehydration that can come with creatine.

I question using a whopping 75g of sugar per dose. THAT is a truckload. A friend of mine is using it with good results. He told me that he is gaining well and has a noticable increase in strength. One the other hand he is also using Hydroxycut at the same time. Methinks he may be over amping a tad.

You will find as Rob said that people have had different results as is the case with most supps. I used this and found it to be very effective. It is expensive and loaded with sugar though. I will say, as I have read posts the last few months about creatine, there seems to be a spilt. Many favor the creapure stamped monohydrate, while others go with Cell-Tech. Those seem to be the two biggies. I plan on using Universal's creatine monohydrate next and mixing it in my post workout protein shake. I will compare results down the road.

I used it, but with great difficulty. I found the amount of sugar in it made me feel a nagging discomfort all throughout my body. I did make some great muscle gain. There is more recent research disputing the need for glucose or dextrose to increase your creatine absorption. Since creatine has become so popular, there has been a great amount of debate on the best way to take it. Also the quality of creatine is a big issue. I know some of the cheaper brands I tried out, made me nauseous and gave me the runs. Currently I use moderate amount through the day. I'm finding benefits from doing it that way.

Cool Tom, good info. I definately have noticed a serious increase in bm's. I was off of creatine for a week while on vacation, and they decreased significantly. I found the taste when taken as per instructions to be way too strong too, so I dilute it in about a liter of water, sip it during the last 15 minutes of my workout and then pound the rest at the end of the workout. It worked well. As to the doses, yes, many varying opinions. I never used 2 scoops, only one a day. I have read many articles suggesting 3-5 grams is all you need and that even a loading phase is not necessary.

cell-tech is WAY over-priced for what you pay for it. i make my own.
cell-tech=(basically) 10g creatine+75g dextrose (sugar)

sugar is only use to transport the creatine faster throughout your body and muscles, only around 40 is needed. dextrose is solder cheaply, ie 11 lbs for $10 US
creatine is easy to get in plain form, look for anything that is CREAPURE approved.

If you use Cell-Tech in the off-season, no problem. As others have noted, it contains a helluva' lot of sugar, which isn't great.
Better news: you can start replacing the sugar with protein to get the same increases in creatine uptake (Steenge, GE, et al. Protein- and carbohydrate-induced augmentation of whole-body creatine retention in humans. J Appl Physiol 2000;89:1165-1171. In that clinical study, researchers compared creatine loading with close to 100g of sugar versus 50g of protein and only 47g of sugar. So if I were to use a creatine "booster", I'd make it with creatine, and about equal part of protein and carbs.
