Does cottage chees really have 30 g of protein per cup? I read in a couple places that it does. If it does, I think I just found a protein shake substitute (Sometimes I can't afford the shakes).
Or is it cheaper gram per gram to get the protein mix? I love cottage cheese with some pineapple, and could easily take in 3 cups per day (that would be 100 g of protein per day for just a bit over 3 cups, I can eat a cup in about three bites, lol)
Any thoughts?

good for general protein shake substitute but not post workout - you need something faster absorbed
I personally philosophically prefer the idea of getting nutrients from real food like cottage cheese rather than shakes, but it can be hard. I would try to get your protein from a variety of sources to balance your diet. If you haven't already, look at the stickies at the top of the board for ideas of alternative sources

If you enjoy it that much than why not. Like the princess said though, not good for after working out.
Great before bed, as a snack a couple of times a day also. The good thing about it before bed is the slow absorbancy into the blood stream.
