I am currently 20 yrs old and I have always had a petite body. I would not say I easily gain weight, but I can tell when my habits are getting bad cause my stomach will bloat some.....I am realizing that I am getting older and I have to work at keeping a nice body....so I am new to this. I am trying the "at home" fitness plan cause the gym cost way to much.....but I am curious, I am a waitress and in the summer I spend a good 7 - 8 hours constantly on my feet running around. Doesn't that count for a lot? I want to work at toning my body....but am i doing enough cardio by being at work? Let me know what you think.....thanks.

well being in an active Job does help, as your walking is exercise, and also you will burn more calories. But I don't think its a Substitue for Cardio. Cardio has great benefit for your heart as well, and usually walking around your heart will not get the same workout. Perhaps you can get away with less than most others, but I would still include some Cardio into your workouts.

Of course this will also depend on your Goals, and your current health status. If you can maintain a lean body now, without doing any cardio, then you won't have to run 5x's a week for 45-60 min. Probably 3x's a week for 20 min will be all you need.
