I've been on my routine for three weeks now. I show a gain of about an 3/4 to 1 inch in most areas and two in my chest and have gained about 4 pounds with no change in the waist. I am eating a balanced diet of about 3000 calories and take a creatine/ glutamine/ arganine supplement. Does this sound realistic? Also, with having a hecktic schedule, does it hurt to change rest days. Typically I workout M/W Th/F. If I change and do two rest days in the middle of the week and one rest day on the weekend occassionally, would that impact the workout.
Thanks, Jason

I have always been told you do your growing outside the gym. Rest is very important for growth. We all must find a schedule that works for us, and if you stick to it you will see awesome results. I know many who do two days on, two days off...............Just my 2 cents

Your schedule and your supplements sound right on. I personally like to train instinctively. If I feel the need for 2 days rest between workouts, whether it be on the weekend or during the week, then I do it. Not enough rest will lead to muscle catabolism, just the opposite of what we are after. Your gains are impressive. Stay with it! As long as it is working for you, don't change what isn't broke!

I've always been advised not to train more than 2 days in a row to keep your glycogen levels up. That's not set in stone, obviously, but most well known training coaches go by that (assuming you're 'roid free). I wish I could put up gains like that in 3 weeks, so maybe you know something that I don't. BTW - did you start your creatine load at the beginning of those 3 weeks?

I didn't load, the stuff I'm using said I did not need to. I am 'roid free. I probably won't have that high a number again since I stared the routine and the creatine at the same time. Probably puffed up, now the real work starts. I have been trying to add 5lbs to the weight each week. So far so good.
