Hi, Does anyone know anything about the Dr Phil diet?
Is it worth trying or is it all just hype?

I wouldn't pay a penny for his book. He looks like he needs to go on a diet himself.

What is the Dr Phil diet?
Have a Dr Phil for breakfast and lunch and a normal meal for dinner?

I had a look at the book and find the calories are way to low.
Some days as low as 900. Thats too low and NOT healthy.
And I do agree with Hec's comment.

The way I decide what diet I go on is to look at what is healthy, what I like, and what fits easily into my hectic life. Then whatever diets/foods/snacks, etc fall in all three categories are what I use to create my diet. My suggestion is to use diet books, etc to get ideas, but ultimately it will be more successful if you go with your gut, keeping your goals in mind. Your body knows best!

I think the Dr. Phil diet is worth looking into. What he writes in his book makes sense.

If you're a sugar addict, it will work to get those cravings gone. I used it back in January and was having success with it. However, once Valentine's Day came and those TEMPTING chocolates came around, I caved and got those sugar cravings back. I'm more for moderation and making healthy choices with a few slips here and there along the way. Do what you feel is right for you and your body. There are days that are very low in calories though so be prepared for some unpleasant feelings if you do decide to begin it. Those unpleasant feelings also go away within time.

Dr. Phil is a pirranha. He feeds on helpless humans.
