Hi,
I Googled the question as to whether drinking about 2 liters of plain Soda Water and now Sodium Free (not true but lower) was harmful and one of my choices was this site.

The answers posted seemed to be more geared to flavoured soda rather than just plain soda water or Club Soda, (which as it turns out there's no such thing)

The generic soda water I've been drinking has 63 mg of sodium per cup. The so caled Sodium Free water has 12mg of Sodium and 9mg of Potassium (which I thought might be good)

Anyway I've never been a huge consumer of sugered soda and I have generally 2 cups of coffee a day. I do however, have Soda water with me where ever I go and drink it all the time. I do not drink alcoholic beverages if some were curious.

So, is it bad for me or good for me or it's a non issue.

thanks,
Peter m.

Peter,
If the rest of your diet is healthy and you are hydrated enough, i think it is probably a non-issue.

darker sodas seem to be worse for you than lighter ones, and if you drink enough water, the sodium shouldn't be an issue.

I don't know what carbonation does to a body - maybe a little bloating.

Try drinking regular water for a few days and see if you feel any different... if there is no change in how you feel, i would think it is non-issue.
