Well my little boy is due to make an appearance in just over a week (the 25th) And that means come New Year I will be back at it once again working on losing the MummyTummy :) Don't ask how much I gained....it was rediculous....but at least the last month a lot of it was major fluid retention. With nursing and my old healthy food habits back I know I can once again lose it....Hubby and I will be back at it together as he too gained weight (as he said he felt he was eating for 3). We found a nice Weider system that we will look to pick up for the first little while...I miss the gym and look forward to getting back at it (I have major carpal tunnel and my pelvis aches too much to do too much so I have been just getting in walking the last 2 weeks). I'll let you know when the little guy gets here! I miss this forum as lately I seem to be mainly on the pregnancy ones :) I'll be back more regularily soon!!

OK Lonegirl let us know when you can how it all went (we will be going crazy!). Remember to take it easy for the first few weeks.....it takes a lot out of ya!

When I consider the short duration of my life, swallowed up in the eternity before and after, the little space which I fill and even can see, engulfed in the infinite immensity of spaces of which I am ignorant and which know me not, I am frightened and am astonished at being here rather than there; for there is no reason why here rather than there, why now rather than then. Who has put me here? By whose order and direction have this place and time been allotted to me? The eternal silence of these infinite spaces frightens me.

I know it will be hard to do, but one thing we learned from our first is that YOU need to rest. My wife really did not sleep more than a hour for the first 4 months of ALex's life. LOL soooo if Grand ma or Grand Dad or daddy want to give you a break TAKE IT! Good luck!

THanks Mutt! I appreciate the advice. I head in today for my midwife appt (at 10) to see if there has been more forward progress since last week. Hubby is out of town until Friday so baby has to stay put until then....

How esciting Lonegirl, can't wait to hear when your little boy makes his first appearance:) Best of luck to you and heed Mutts advice, get your rest when you can, use all the support available and enjoy your bundle of joy! BTW, my daughters were born at Scarborough Grace and we had a midwife thru the pregnancy, it really made a big difference. I left the hospital when my girls were less than 10 hrs old, and was happy to leave and get some proper rest and on with our new life--but I had lot's of support at home and the midwife on-call.

Let us know how it goes!

A little discipline at the table and at the gym might help reduce that belly!

Lonegirl I'm so excited for you!! Please let us know how things go when you get the chance. I know you'll be back in working order in no time, but do try and take it easy, and like Mutt said, take everyone who offers up on help so you have a chance to rest.

Well I found out today that things are progressing nicely but if I do go over then the latest they will let me go without induction will be Dec 5 (10 days over)I am just hoping it will be before that as there is definetly progress...He has dropped nice and low and isn't moving back up and dilation etc is increasing nicely at each appt...As she said...it could be today...or it could be 2 weeks lol So I just patiently wait. :) But as hubby is 8 hours away and will be away until Friday I would prefer baby to wait until at least the weekend :)

Wow - congratulations and good luck! Having a midwife makes all the difference (no tearing thanks to mine!).

I don't think there is any greater feeling in the world than holding your newborn baby , whom you have been waiting to meet for so long!

Be ready for the greatest learning experience of your lifetime! Everyday your baby will do something new and noteworthy - keep a good journal and take lots of pictures - it goes by so fast!

Yes Amy is correct! If you do nothave one a good digital camera is a must! We spent more on batteries and film for our old 35mm camera before getting our digital one!
