Hi!
This is my first time at this site.
I appreciate the good work.
Can I do the Barbell Flat Bench Press exercise using dumbbells or it will not have the same effect?

You can use dumbells. They offer a different challenge than the barbell. More stability is needed and you'll likely need to use a lower combined weight than what you'd push with the barbell.

Dummbells as mentioned provide a different challenge than bb. However, they can be and are very effective. One thing I like about them, if you have for instance shoulder issues, where a bb forces you to move in plane of motion, with dumbbells you can 'adjust' to some degree your range/type of motion. I did this for quite a while with great success when I had my shoulder issues.

I;ve seperated my shoulder twice, and db bench has been a blessing. That and other db workouts help with my oover all shoulder strength sooo much.
