I just started my 8 week program. After each workout, what foods should I eat? I guy here at work suggested protein and a 1/2 bagel with jam.

Have your PWO shake, wait about an hr and have a meal with Good carbs, protein, and a good fat. Perhaps something like tuna, veggies with olive oil, and perhaps a slice of grain bread.

The bagel is a bad idea immediately after your workout....if you are working out intense(as in bodybuilding). If you are training this way, you need simple carbs in a liquid mixture with your protein.

You want quick absorption PWO which is why you want liquid protein and carbs like dextrose and maltodextrin and your protein should be an isolate.
