eating clean.....but how clean is clean.

I think I eat pretty darn good....but there are a few little things..but ill go insane if i have to watch EVERYTHING!!..for instance..i have one diet pepsi with my lunch everyday..omg!!!! (sodium)....next..i dont always eat natty PB...omg im actually eating saturated fat!!!..AND it has sugar in it to!!...and o yeah....i dont always get alot of fiber...now what?...and i havent been calculating my calcium either..but it takes everything to calculate my pcf ratio with my calories everday...cant i just hope that by eating healthy foods the rest will just work itself out?...i know im not *competitive* clean..but i dont think i do to damn bad...where do we draw the line...


and o did i mention...tuna?..omg!!!.. we are gonna die from OD of mercury!!!...sigh

You do not have to 'wash' your food. In other words, do not go insane! :)

Diet Soda is fine and what I think you need to do is get yourself to or a close to where you want to be then experiment.

Once you get this down to a tee for your body you'll know what you can get away with and with how much.

Remember water retention isn't fat and goes away fast at least it does for me.

Example on Thanksgiving I was eating pumpkin pie for a few days and on some day allot of it and I spiked in retention but once I stopped it took 3 days back on strict diet and in the gym and I actually ended up with an even lower body fat%.

I don't believe in clean 24/7 7 days a week all year long I believe and my body tells me so that there is a point I need to eat eat eat eat and then eat so I stay clean as long as possible for days to weeks at a time so that when I do go dirty for a day or 3 it really doesn't hurt me bad.

Basically you can learn to do it all without falling off track but it take time and you just have to know and be honest that you have had to many days with a bad snack here and there.

There is no reason to live your life in a tight assed diet and if you try you'll fail they just simple don't work. Learn your body and how it reacts to certain foods and go from there and this is where you learn what MODERATION really means and it don't mean NEVER eat me it means BECAREFULL with me.
