Hi,

I was reading on a popular magazine web-stie, that in order to drop a pound a week, I have to eat 2866 calories a day. I weight 206 lbs and I'm 27 and 5'9". Does anyone have any suggestions. I can eat that much. Does anyone know how to get more calories into a diet without braking the balance. Thanks...

I have a fair idea about what you mean by breaking the balance but not really sure. Once you establish your maintenance intake just start reducing until you slowly start losing weight. As far as a balance, you just increase each of the protein, fats and carbs to maintain the balance.

Frank I think that's way off, 2866 sounds like a Maintenance for you but I don't know how active you are but it sounds like you wana lose weight and I would 1st off find out how much your eating now then wing down ward.

I'm 37 years old 5'11.5 and I'm only eating 2400 a day and I'm burning fat at a good rate but if I were to stop then my maintenance would be 2800 to 2900 calories.

You can lose at 2866 but you better be super active and be lifting lots of weights and hitting the Cardio!
