I feel like I'm not getting the most out of my workouts. It seems like my muscles get too fatigued, too quickly for me to make any substantial gains. I'm wondering what supplements are available to increase my stamina to get a better workout. Any ideas?
This may not be the answer your looking for but I would have to say complex carbohydrates. You see muscular contraction is fueled by glycogen stores located in the muscles when they are depleted muscular cantraction is inhibited until they are restored so by feeding a steady supply of carbs through the day (& specifically pre workout) we can make sure the energy stores are full when we need them. Also it should be noted that muscle gycogen can be restored by the liver through various processes (which I will not get into at this point) during the workout but it requires a few minutes . That is why when performing heavy lifts it is reccomended that you wait a few minutes in between sets. Basically consume more complex carbs & if necessary slow down the pace of your workout slightly & then ( & only then) try adding 5-10 grams of creatine per day with plenty of water & you should notice dramatic results.
