I have never had that wonderful ability you are talking about, wish I had. I have an eight month old nd I can tell you that the only way I found to get cardio in was to buy a treadmill. After my daughter goes to sleep, I try to get in atleast 2 miles. It really is tiring sometimes, especially when it gets late. I considering it part or my going to bed ritual. Walk, shower, brush teeth, book, sleep. As far as junk food, I don't really have a sweettooth, but I have a carbtooth. I went to see a nutritionist and report in for a weigh in once a week. It gives me incentive to stay on track. I was allowing myself one freebie day, but now I just don't seem to need them anymore. Just tell yourself that you HAVE to do this, that is really the only way.
