Will I get the same amount of protein from eggs even when I remove the yolk?

No I don't think you will get the same amount of protein even if you remove the yolk, but it's almost just as much. There's about 3.3 grams of protein per egg white. But removing the yolk and sacrificing a bit of protein is worth it when your also staying away from loads of cholesterol and a about 5 grams of fat.

The protein is almost evenly split....3 in the white, 3 in the yolk. The yolk contains many great enzymes though, plus b vitamins. The dietary cholesterol in eggyolks is not the villian it was made out to be if you are not predisposed to problems.

With products like "egg beaters" and cheaper alternatives this should be a non-issue... all the protein and none of the cholesterol (if it concerns you). I adhere to bb1fit's train of thought and if I "have" to use eggs instead of "
eggbeaters" then I usually do 5 eggwhites and 1 whole egg to get the "yellow" consistancy. I little goes a long way when it comes to egg yolks. :)

eggs are a great source of protein there is about 2.69 grams of protein in the average larg egg yolk, and about 3.59 in the average larg egg white. so if you dont have a cholesteral problem id go for the whole egg. like sed before there are great enzymes and b vitamins in the yolk.

Yep, the yolk is a great source of protein, enzymes, b vitamins, and even luetin, which is great for the eyes. Dietary cholesterol(sensible) for the umpteenth time is not the villian it is made out to be.
