How come every time I go on a high protein, low carb diet I get the squirts for the first few days?
30-60 Carbs 1 gallon of H2O about 1500 Calories
Anyone had this happen to them? I thought it was suppose to stop you up! Give you bad gas etc....
Go ahead and laugh,LOL. Any insight is appreciated.

I would guess that is how your body adapts. How low carb is it?

<chuckle> Yeah, been there done that (especially when I first started eating lots of eggwhites!)
Are you using a MRP/protein powder?? Try switching brands if you're new to this (it'll make a huge difference, trust me)

Hmmm a normal thing I'm afraid...... Eat some coal, it really helps (also try doing some search for this since it's actually not an unknown prob...)

I found whey shakes and creatine mono to be the culprits. The days I don't have either = all good. Through them in, like clockwork the fireworks begin! My diet is VERY high in protein and marginal in carbs. But I had this problem something fierce a few weeks ago. I cut back on whey shakes and ate more solids. I tired all the recommendations on the site, pills, herbs, etc.. Nothing seemed to work like eating more solid foods.
Good luck.

It does not matter what kind of protein it is; shakes or solids. At first I thought I was lactose intolerant, so I cut out the cheese. Nope. People see me eating all this protein and tell me I will get constipated. Nope. Thanks for answering I thought I was abnormal. I am going to have to play around with my carbs because I really bottomed out this week.

NO PITY PARTY HERE..... Although the puckered starfish did get very sore running to the porcelain, no hemorrhoidal eyelashes poked out.
Ahhh upped the carbs feeling much better.
