I've been taking in an enrgy drink pre workout for two reasons.

1. To give me an energy boost during the workout - no surprises there.

AND

2. As a carb supplement.

Question is:

Is it ok to use an energy drink as a carb supplement when not working out or are these drinks a poor source of carbs?

Carbs do my head in!!! don't understand 'em

energy drink ingredients are usually sugar by any other name, so if you stand still it's fat! Unless you are lucky enough not to have a problem with fat, I wouldn't waste my money on watered down sugar. But then, I 'm fat! and I avoid sugar and fat as if it was the plague and still plateau.
Why carb supplements? Is the aim to get fat?

I find it very hard to hit my daily target of 450g of carbs. In fact I also find it hard to hit any of the FT macro targets. And my goal is to LOSE fat and tone up:surprised:
