Energy Drinks

Is there any benefits on taking an Energy drink such as Red Bull before your workout?
Or should you just drink with water? If so gatorade has a fitness water Propel. How is that?

I would drink water plenty of it before and during a work out. Rev8ball has mentioned this before by the time you realized your thirsty your all ready dehydrated.

I drink 16 ozs of water with 30 g of Cytomax while working out, and another scoop in my post-workout shape and I noticed a difference when I first started using it. I don't really know if it does anything, I think its more in the mind so I believe it helps. Some energy drinks will give you a quick boost and then drop you like a sack of hammers.
