is an exercise bike good for cardio? i have always avoided cardio, but i know it is essential to lose weight. if so, when should i do cardio, before or after lifting, and for how long?

what exactly is HIIT? i did a search for it on ft, and a message board came up that said little about it. I am going to buy an exercise bike for my cardio, and think that HIIT would fit nicely into my schedule. thanks.

HITT cardio is what my husband has me do. I start off slow for about 5 mins then I speed up for five mins then slow down for five mins till I have done my 30 mins of cardio. also I always do my cardio after my reg. workout. BB1fit explained it to me. Send him a instant massage and He can really give you the lowdown on HITT cardio and why cardio is best after your reg. workout.

should you do cardio IMMEDIATELY after lifting of just some time after? i've read on the boards that some people do cardio on days other than their lifting days. Which is best to lose weight? thanks everyone for replying.
