In Jan of 2004, I weighed in at 240 lbs and started weight watchers with my ex-girlfriend in effort to drop some pounds. We both were seeing results and it became a competion over time, driving me to obsessing about my weight and the way I looked. Long story short, we broke up and I wanted to out do her and look so f*cking hot that she would want me back. I took exercising and dieting to the extreme and lost 65 lbs. in about seven months. I currently weigh 180 lbs., and have kept it off for about a year. But I lost it the wrong way, by obsessing and driving my body to depletion.
Now, I am left with a way better girlfriend that asked me out, and more confidence, but A mid section that looks like melted wax. I have so much extra skin around my abdominals, obliques, and lower back, that I swear to god just hangs off my body when I am taking care of my new lady friend missionary style. It's really gross. My girl says she loves my for who I am, not what my stomach looks like, but I know I would have the ultamite confidence In my self and just feel so much better,if i were to lose that shit. I know I really need to crack-down on the ab work and make it my number one priority. But what else can I do to tighten up my belly and lose veciral fat? Has anyone else ever been in my case? And strecth marks as well, anyway to get rid of those safely? Thanks for taking the time to read this, hopefully someone has the answer. thx. :surprised: |

Some times with drastic weight loss like that. Surgery is required to remove the excess skin. IN time the skin might shrink back also since it's highly elastic.-------------- I am that which must be feared, worshipped and adored. The world is mine now and forever. No one holds command over me. if you lost weight drastically...you're out of luck....get plastic surgery...nothing pleasant but it has to be done....if you lost the weight slowly then the skin would have adjusted on its own.....

that's not a realistic expectation especially for midsection because as you become more mascular, your waist will shrink(not become larger)....so filling it up with muscle is very unlikely...it's possible to do that to arms or legs but with midsection you're stuck...

i feel you dude. i am 19 and since i was in 2nd grade i was fat. i took it to the extreme to and lost a little bit. but i was around 215 before summer last year and now i am down to 180. i too have a lot of extra skin, and since i have always been fat i too have stretch marks. my weight loss was not really unhealthy... it just kind of happened because i was getting more involved in physical activity. i have lots of visceral fat and fat on underarms. mainly i just care about the loose fat that makes me feel bad when i sit down b/c it flops around. i really want to look good for when i go to the beach this may, but i know i cant be ok with my extra skin by then. if you find out something other than surgery, as it is too pricey for me, let me know. thanks, nathan

The skin if well hydrated and elastic will shrink...but it takes time...and lots of it....I saw this happen

lots of water and an extra mosturizing lotion will help with loose skin and stretch marks. It's not a miracle or a quick fix by any means, but in a few months you should notice a difference.

i know what you mean 3 yrs ago i weighed 390lbs... lost 100lbs, then put on about 3 stone and keep on floating 10lbs up and down! but despite the yoyo weights there's one thing which remained and it's the loose skin it's just so horrible! it's like custard or something... it doesn't look like normal fat, all the fats gone but the skin stays behind gah i don't know which i prefer more to be honest! at least fat flab is solid but what i'm left with is soo wobbly that it makes it impossible to wear anything and look nice in it! it flps and i wish i'd listened to people when they said losing weight isn't done over night!
but thanks for the tips, though fingers crossed they work.... and i don't have to resort to surgery lol! |

trish, you really cant target an area to get rid of fat. You are going to have to do cardio to get rid of fat over your entire body. Keep eating a good diet, it takes time to get these things done.

I am having the same concern about ugly, embarrasing loose skin. I went from 130 to 245 when I got pregnant. Three years later I am back down to 145. I lost the weight fairly fast, and am worried that since it has been 3 years that it's too late to do something about the loose skin. Someone please tell me it's not!! What can I do??
