okay well i have a really fast metabolism and i cant gain any weight, i have worked at mcdonald's for like 3 yrs and gained like 5-10 pounds since then lol. I started working out and eating healthier about a month ago and i want to get bigger, im only about 130 right now. So should i eat lots and lift heavy and low reps or lift light and high reps? and also should i still be doing cardio every once and a while or no?
thanks in advanced

Diet is the key. There is no such thing as a "hardgainer", just someone who does not have their diet properly constructed for their needs.

amen to that bb1fit, show me someone who can take in 4,000 calories and not gain a pound and I'll show you a flying pig and throw snow balls in hell. Lol. Not that I'd ever recommend that diet without first asking alot of questions.

watch your charicteristics to see why you think you have a fast metabolism- this is usually extra calories burned daily by chewing gum, leg trembling/shaking, always moving, eating limited quantities... etc...
do cardio but just to keep your stamina up- just once for 40 minutes a week. do you play football and stuff, if so slow down or stop.
food- as bb1fit says is the key, so plan a diet and make sure you eat 'something' every 2 to 3 hours. don't go for sweets but make sure you get protein and the right fats. all the tools are here for a food diary and you can get statistics on everything you put in your mouth. it is worth the effort even if you gain knowledge of what you eat and what it does for you.
if you eat the calories and protein, and lift hard then you get no choice but to gain in strength. gains in size come after that really and so it's best to keep a record of strength gains as they are easier measured weekly/monthly.
measure your chest, waist, biceps, hamstrings, glutes etc... now- and then again in 8 weeks time- also take a photo... you will if eating right have a little success even if it's to say for example; your chest is 1'' bigger nothing else has changed except the tricep shows more- or summat like it, but you will see a reward. its slow and will happen if you percivere and keep patient.
