Do fat burners burn calories or do they simply give you more energy to work out harder?

Most are made to increase thermogenisis in the body, therefore increasing caloric burn.

THE QUESTION I HAVE IS, DO THEY REALLY INCREASE THERMOGENISIS IN THE BODY OR IS THIS THE MANUFACTURERS THEORY?

Thermogenesis is activated by a few different mechanisms like supplements, nutrition, exercise, and exposure to cold. I think there are some excellent supplements out there, but what works for me may not work for you. You can put your thermogenic to the test and take your temperature. Figure out what your normal body temperature is and then take your temperature after taking the supplement. I don't quite know how long after to tell you to take your temp. That all depends on if the sup. is liquid or pill and how much food you have in your stomach etc. The Redline I am using now I feel in about 15-20 mins. after taking it. My temp rose about .2 of a degree. Nothing too dramatic but it did make me "shiver" for a while and I think its a great addition to my supplement repertoire!
